Holy Ashwagandha Batman! Look at how much this herb does and how much research is behind it!

I've found something Amazing. I discovered it when taking an online herbology class for my other practice (www.keepitcleansupplements.com). The herb pictured above is called Ashwagandha. This herb helps the body to be better attuned to adapt to stressors. That's something we can all use due to the current virus that's been going around for the last year. This adaptogenic herb most tuned to the stressors of our modern age is Ashwagandha. It reduces perceived stress, food cravings, serum cortisol and body weight. It was proven to reduce anxiety by the Hamilton anxiety rating scale (HAM-A) by the same amounts as anti-anxiety medications. (Pub Med ID 25405876) & (Pub Med ID 31517876) It significantly decreased the perceived stress and anxiety in 60 days on both the DASS-21 and HAM-A scales. It increases Sleep quality at a dose of 600mg/day. It decreases time to get to sleep significantly by week 10 to 17 minutes from 40 minutes and improves sleep quality by 72.48%. (Pub Med ID 32818573) & (Pub Med ID 32540634) & (Pub Med ID 31728244) & (Pub Med ID 32226684) It is a male tonic which increases male testosterone levels and semen quality. (Pub Med ID 30854916) It increases physical performance in both strength and recovery on bench press and leg press significantly (Pub Med ID 26609282) & (Pub Med ID 30463324) as well as decreasing muscle damage for those doing endurance training and it improves aerobic fitness (VO2 Max) (Pub Med ID 32316411) It Improves Memory and Cognition (attention and mental speed) (Pub Med ID 28471731) & (Pub Med ID 32183355). It improves Thyroid Function - It improves the T3, T4 and TSH levels. (Pub Med ID 28829155) There is some evidence that it is beneficial in Type 2 diabetes. It's a potential added bonus for taking it for stress and anxiety reduction. (Pub Med ID 31975514) Significantly improves female sexual function so it's also a female tonic. (Pub Med ID 26504795) In Summary: Ashwagandha is effective at reducing Fatigue, physical stress, convalescence, anxiety, boosts DHEA, testosterone in males, thyroid hormone balancing, enhances cognition, improves male and female function, decreases chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia symptoms, as well as being a great tonic when combined with chamomile for children with ADHD and other attention disorders (PMID 20228219). Contact me by email for dosing on children before giving to them. In adults it's important to note that the Standard Process/ Medi-herb Ashwagandha Forte (which is a concentrated extract) seems to work best when taken at 600mg over a period of at least 60 days. Ashwagandha Forte (not the complex) is safe for pregnant or lactating women and those that have high blood pressure at 200-400mg per day. Ashwagandha Complex is a better choice if you are not pregnant, nursing or have high blood pressure.

Why Standard Process/ Medi-Herb instead of other companies when taking an herb? Great question. Medi-Herb products are from Australia where herbs are regulated. Medi-Herb products must pass strict tests for medicinal products and are regulated by their Therapeutic Goods Act of 1989 and are tested by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). In the United States, the FDA doesn't regulate herbs. In the USA, by law the producer of the vitamin or herb are responsible for testing their own herbs... (Yikes). Email me at drjaykorsen@aol.com if you would like the password to get your own account with Standard Process and order your own Ashwagandha.
